REMODELER HANDYMAN CARPENTER - SKILLED CRAFTSMAN FOR GREAT OPPORTUNITY
Professional residential and commercial maintenance, repair and improvement company looking for skilled and reliable carpenters, remodelers and craftsmen with 5-7 or more years professional experience for full time employment.
We have steady work for dependable, detail oriented, tech savvy professionals who can get jobs done right… on time, the first time.
Most all of our jobs are within a 10-15 mile radius of our main office in St. Louis County.
We provide competitive pay, bonuses, uniforms, and paid vacation after 1 year of employment. We work in a paperless environment on a system that will keep your schedule, contacts, work orders, pictures and GPS functions in one place through an iPad that we will provide to you. This system tracks your hours as well and keeps the office and field up to speed with each other as the jobs progress.
Successful applicants must be organized and show efficient use of time management. Must be customer service oriented and have clear communication skills. Reliability and punctuality is expected. We do work on Saturdays as needed during the busy season, and have advance notice occasional night work involved.
The ability and confidence to accurately estimate labor time and material cost in quoting small to medium size jobs for repair sales and change orders is needed for this position.
Some examples of the work we perform are:
- Repair and adjust doors & hardware
- Replace lights/fans/outlets/switches
- Patch/hang, mud tape & finish drywall
- Interior/Exterior Painting and touch ups
- Caulking & grouting
- Install baseboards/crown moulding
- Install wainscoting/interior trim
- Install steps/stairs/rails/spindles
- Replace smoke alarms/co detectors
- Hang pictures/mirrors/TVs
- Install curtain rods/blinds
- Assemble furniture/build pre-made units
- Install shelving and organizational items
TOOLS & TRANSPORTATION:
We provided steady work, uniforms, great pay and a paperless work environment. We expect our technicians to have 5-7 years of minimum experience and required to have their own professional hand tools, cordless power tools and field equipment. We do provide larger equipment and rentals when needed.
Craftsmen must have reliable transportation - truck / van is preferred. Company vehicles will be available after successful training and trial period. Mileage is paid for if using your own vehicle and a fuel card is issued for all company vehicles.
